The Victoria, like many of the neighbouring houses, is made from rock hewn from the nearby slopes - so really is a local pub. Hundreds of years old The Vic is as a pub outside of time, shunning all the modern distractions of television and annoying piped music to allow you the chance to sit back, unwind and enjoy a conversation with your friends or maybe make some new ones.

The Vic is embraced whole heartedly by the local community, with cricket, hockey and golfing teams regularly holding meetings in the “tunnel”. Scout leaders, bell ringers and allotmenteers can also be found mixing with some of the other regulars.

Here we pride ourselves on the quality of our real ales, we have never got less than 100% in our cask marque accreditation and always getting a mention in the “Good Beer Guide” The Vic has just been selected to be in the 2012 edition, making it 14 years in a row.

It’s not just beer we focus on though, there’s a fine selection of wine, lagers and soft drinks, enough to quench anyones thirst. Then, of course, there is our food. Good, simple, home cooked food is our joy and we make sure all of our steaks come from local farms.
